JHB Syndications Buys Six Quality Fillies on Magic Millions Day 1

Day One of the Gold Coast Magic Millions sale saw JHB Syndications hit the ground running, securing six athletic fillies ranging from $45,000 to $95,000, very much with our mantra of targeting the physical types to be out running early.

These fillies will be trained by a selection of leading trainers; Tony McEvoy, Michael Freedman, David Hayes and Bjorn Baker.

All purchases will be presented for public syndication in the coming days. In the meantime, here’s a recap of our day one purchases, including trainer interviews.

Lot 2 – Star Witness x Faker filly purchased for $75,000

This bay filly possesses fantastic strength and athleticism. She thrived during the inspection process and was great value early on in the sale, being lot 2. She carries the physical and mental attributes to be able to run fast and early. By the sire of Global Glamour and Star Turn.

Our top price filly from Day 1, and rightly so. We closely followed her progress since inspecting her at Coolmore last year, and were thrilled with her progress. She is well grown with great muscle definition, depth and substance.

This filly is a powerhouse type, with real substance and a fantastic temperament. She thrived during her sales preparation, and is another great representation of our ‘Taking The Lead On Type’ philosophy. Her sire had superstar qualities and was favourite for the Golden Slipper before his career was cut short.
